Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons matcha green tea powder
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder (for rolling)
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Remove from heat and add the white chocolate chips. Let sit for 2 minutes to melt the chocolate.
- Stir the mixture until smooth and fully combined. Add the matcha powder and vanilla extract, mixing until well incorporated.
- Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and refrigerate for about 2 hours, or until firm enough to scoop.
- Once the mixture is firm, use a small cookie scoop or your hands to form small balls (about 1 inch in diameter).
- In a shallow bowl, combine the cocoa powder and powdered sugar. Roll each truffle in the mixture until fully coated.
- Place the finished truffles on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for another 30 minutes to set.
Notes
- For a different flavor, try adding a few drops of peppermint extract instead of vanilla for a minty twist.
- You can substitute the cocoa powder with crushed nuts or shredded coconut for rolling to add texture and flavor.
