- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the oil, vanilla extract, almond milk, and apple cider vinegar.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Fill the cupcake liners about 2/3 full with batter.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before frosting.
Notes
- For best results, let the cupcakes cool completely before adding frosting.
- You can add vegan chocolate chips to the batter for extra richness.
