- 4 filet mignon steaks
- 4 slices duck foie gras
- 1 cup Madeira wine
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season the filet mignon with salt and pepper.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat and sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Remove the steaks and add the Madeira wine to deglaze the pan.
- Return the steaks to the skillet and top each with a slice of foie gras, cooking until the foie gras is browned.
- Plate and drizzle with the sauce from the pan before serving.
