- 1 sleeve saltine crackers
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and arrange saltine crackers in a single layer.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly until boiling.
- Pour the mixture over the saltine crackers and spread evenly.
- Bake for 5-7 minutes until bubbling.
- Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips on top.
- Allow the chocolate to melt, then spread it evenly over the mixture.
- Top with chopped nuts and sea salt, if desired.
- Let it cool completely before breaking it into pieces.
