A creamy and delicious Thai tea ice cream that captures the essence of traditional Thai tea flavors.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 tablespoons Thai tea leaves
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the heavy cream, milk, and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Add the Thai tea leaves and steep for about 30 minutes.
  3. Strain the mixture to remove the tea leaves.
  4. Add vanilla extract and salt, mixing well.
  5. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  6. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  7. Transfer the ice cream to a container and freeze until firm.

Notes

  • For a stronger tea flavor, increase the amount of Thai tea leaves.
  • Let the ice cream sit at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping for easier serving.
