- 1 cup tahini
- 1 cup pitted dates
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup dairy-free chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a food processor, blend the tahini and pitted dates until smooth.
- Add the maple syrup, cocoa powder, salt, vanilla extract, and baking soda, and blend again until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For extra sweetness, add more dates or maple syrup.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
