  4. Add the butter, vanilla extract, and salt to the saucepan. Stir until the butter is fully melted and the sauce is smooth.
  5. Allow the sauce to cool slightly before transferring it to a jar or container. Let it cool completely at room temperature, then refrigerate for up to two weeks.
