Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 cup ketchup (divided)
- 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 2 black olives (for eyes)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, milk, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, oregano, and thyme. Blend thoroughly until cohesive.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
- Pour 3/4 cup of ketchup over the top, ensuring it’s evenly spread.
- Bake the meatloaf for 45 minutes.
- While it’s cooking, unroll the crescent roll dough and slice it into thin strips.
- Once the timer goes off, take the meatloaf out of the oven and wrap the dough strips around it like bandages, leaving spaces for the eyes.
- Put the meatloaf back in the oven and bake for another 15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown.
- Allow it to cool for a few minutes, then use the remaining ketchup to draw a spooky face and place the black olives for eyes.
- Enjoy it warm.
Notes
- For an extra kick, mix in 1 teaspoon of chili powder with the meat.
- Ground turkey or chicken can be used for a lighter twist.
