Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup diced jalapeños
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/2 cup salsa

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, jalapeños, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Mix until well combined, then form into meatballs.
  4. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
  6. In the last 5 minutes, top each meatball with cheese and return to the oven until melted.
  7. Serve with salsa.

Notes

  • Adjust jalapeño quantity to increase or decrease spiciness.
  • Can substitute ground turkey for a leaner option.
  • Serve with tortilla chips for added crunch.
