Ingredients
Scale
- 8 cups apple cider
 - 1 orange zest and juice
 - 3 cinnamon sticks
 - 5 whole cloves
 - 1/4 cup brown sugar
 - 1 teaspoon allspice
 - 1 teaspoon nutmeg
 
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine the apple cider, orange zest and juice, cinnamon sticks, cloves, brown sugar, allspice, and nutmeg.
 - Heat over medium heat until steaming, but do not boil.
 - Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
 - Strain the cider into mugs and garnish with additional orange slices if desired.
 
Notes
- Keep it warm in a slow cooker for parties.
 - Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar.
