- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup decorations (sprinkles, colored sugar, etc.)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until combined.
- Chill the dough for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Roll out the dough and cut out desired shapes with cookie cutters.
- Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Add decorations on top of the cookies.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden.
- Allow to cool before serving.

- Store in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
- Cookies can be decorated with icing for extra flair.
