Deliciously soft and melt-in-your-mouth Christmas peppermint candies.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon red food coloring

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the powdered sugar and butter, mixing until well incorporated.
  2. Add in the peppermint extract and milk, stirring until the mixture is thick but well mixed.
  3. Divide the dough in half and add red food coloring to one half, kneading until fully incorporated.
  4. Pinch off small pieces and roll into small balls or shapes, flattening them slightly.
  5. Let the candies sit out for several hours or until they harden.
