These soft butter dinner rolls are the perfect addition to any meal, light and flavorful.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 cup milk, warmed
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until bubbly.
  2. Add melted butter, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir to combine.
  3. Gradually add flour, mixing until a dough forms. Knead for about 5 minutes.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
  5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Shape the dough into rolls and place in a greased baking dish.
  7. Let the rolls rise again for about 30 minutes.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.
  9. Brush with melted butter before serving.

Notes

  • For softer rolls, brush with butter right after baking.
  • These can be made ahead and frozen before baking.
