- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 cup milk, warmed
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until bubbly.
- Add melted butter, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir to combine.
- Gradually add flour, mixing until a dough forms. Knead for about 5 minutes.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Shape the dough into rolls and place in a greased baking dish.
- Let the rolls rise again for about 30 minutes.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.
- Brush with melted butter before serving.
Notes
- For softer rolls, brush with butter right after baking.
- These can be made ahead and frozen before baking.
