- 2 cups smoked brisket, shredded
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup onion, diced
- 1 cup celery, diced
- 1 cup carrots, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the onion, celery, and carrots. Cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the garlic and cook for another minute.
- Add the shredded brisket to the pot.
- Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in the heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce, and smoked paprika.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Simmer for 10-15 minutes until heated through and flavors meld.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
- This bisque is best served fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat gently on the stove, adding a little water or broth if it thickens too much.
