A comforting and delicious broth that serves as the base for a tasty chicken wonton soup.

Ingredients

  • 8 cups chicken broth
  • 1 lb chicken breast, diced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat the sesame oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the ginger and garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  4. Add the diced chicken and cook until no longer pink.
  5. Stir in the soy sauce, rice vinegar, green onions, mushrooms, and carrots.
  6. Let the broth simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  7. Serve hot with wontons or noodles.

Notes

  • This broth can be made ahead and stored for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
