- 8 ounces pasta
- 1 pound sausage
- 2 cups Swiss chard, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until browned.
- Add garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for another minute.
- Stir in Swiss chard and cook until wilted.
- Toss the cooked pasta with the sausage mixture.
- Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Serve hot, topped with Parmesan cheese.
Notes
- Feel free to substitute the sausage for turkey or chicken sausage for a lighter option.
- Adding cherry tomatoes can provide additional flavor and color.
