- 1 cup salmon roe
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh herbs (dill or parsley)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups beef tallow for frying
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine salmon roe, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, herbs, salt, and pepper.
- Form the mixture into patties.
- Heat beef tallow in a skillet over medium heat.
- Fry the patties in the tallow until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- For a gluten-free option, use gluten-free breadcrumbs.
- These patties can be served with a dipping sauce of your choice.
- Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
