- 1 cup honey
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 6 large eggs
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 cups sour cream
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine honey, sugar, and butter, then mix until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with sour cream.
- Divide the batter into multiple cake pans and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Let the cakes cool completely before frosting.
- For the frosting, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Layer the cakes with frosting in between each layer and coat the outside.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

- For best results, let the cake sit overnight to develop flavor.
