This decadent Black Forest Cherry Pie features a rich chocolate filling topped with a layer of whipped cream and tart cherries. Perfect for any special occasion!

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups chocolate graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups pitted cherries, canned or fresh
  • ¼ cup cherry juice or syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the chocolate graham cracker crumbs with the melted butter, then press into the bottom of a pie dish to form a crust.
  3. Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then let it cool.
  4. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth. Add the sour cream and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  6. Fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture gently.
  7. Pour the cream cheese filling into the cooled crust.
  8. Top with pitted cherries and drizzle cherry juice or syrup over the top.
  9. Chill the pie in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

  • This pie can be made a day in advance for a more intense flavor.
  • Serve with extra whipped cream and chocolate shavings for garnish.
