- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup jam (your choice)
- powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add butter, buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared cake pan.
- Spread jam over the batter, then top with the remaining batter.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before dusting with powdered sugar and serving.
Notes
- Use your favorite fruit jam for a personal touch.
