Instructions
- Mix the crushed graham crackers, cocoa powder, confectioners’ sugar, desiccated coconut, and softened butter in a large bowl until the mixture resembles wet sand.
- Incorporate the beaten egg into the mixture, stirring until everything is well blended.
- Firmly press this mixture into the base of a greased 8-inch square baking dish, ensuring an even layer.
- In a small saucepan, melt the unsweetened chocolate along with 2 tablespoons of butter over low heat, stirring continuously until smooth.
- Remove from heat and allow it to cool slightly.
- In another bowl, combine the confectioners’ sugar, milk, and vanilla essence, then add the cooled chocolate mixture, stirring until silky and uniform.
- Pour this chocolate filling over the graham cracker base, spreading it evenly.
- Melt the dark chocolate with the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until completely melted and smooth.
- Drizzle this chocolate layer over the previous layer, smoothing it out with a spatula.
- Chill the assembled bars in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until they are firm to the touch.
