- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound ground lamb
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 large egg
- 1 can (14 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef, ground lamb, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, cinnamon, cumin, coriander, salt, pepper, and egg until well combined.
- Form mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook meatballs until browned on all sides.
- Add crushed tomatoes and sugar to the skillet, stirring to combine.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, until meatballs are cooked through.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- Can be served with rice or couscous.
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
