- 12 rye bread squares
- 8 ounces corned beef, sliced
- 8 ounces Swiss cheese, sliced
- 1 cup sauerkraut, drained
- 1/4 cup thousand island dressing
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- On a baking sheet, layer half of the rye bread squares.
- Top each square with a slice of corned beef, Swiss cheese, and a spoonful of sauerkraut.
- Spread a little thousand island dressing on each.
- Cover with the remaining bread squares.
- Brush the tops with melted butter.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and the cheese has melted.
- Serve warm with extra dressing on the side.

- These can be made ahead of time and baked just before serving.
