Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk tea (brewed and cooled)
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the milk tea and vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine flour and baking powder, then gradually add to the wet ingredients.
  6. Pour the batter into prepared cake pans.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool before frosting with buttercream.

  • For a stronger tea flavor, use extra tea leaves in the batter.
