A delightful and airy dessert featuring fresh strawberries.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, pureed
  • 3 large egg whites
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the pureed strawberries, lemon juice, and vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, whisk egg whites until foamy; gradually add granulated sugar and continue whisking until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the strawberry mixture into the egg whites.
  5. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  6. Fold the whipped cream into the strawberry mixture carefully.
  7. Spoon the mixture into ramekins and bake for 15-20 minutes until puffed and lightly browned.
  8. Serve immediately for best results.

Notes

  • For an extra flavor, consider adding a splash of orange liqueur to the strawberry mixture.
  • Make sure to serve the soufflés right after baking as they tend to deflate quickly.
