Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef or goat meat, cut into chunks
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups cornmeal
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Marinate the meat with vegetable oil, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, lemon juice, and black pepper for at least 1 hour.
  2. Grill the marinated meat over medium heat until fully cooked and charred to preference.
  3. In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  4. Slowly add cornmeal to boiling water while stirring to avoid lumps.
  5. Cook the cornmeal porridge, stirring frequently, until thickened (about 10-15 minutes).
  6. Add salt to taste and serve hot with the grilled meat.
