- 400 grams kataifi pastry
- 200 grams unsalted butter
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar for syrup
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Melt the butter and mix it with the kataifi pastry.
- Spread half of the kataifi mixture in a baking dish.
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs with sugar, yogurt, baking powder, and vanilla.
- Pour the egg mixture over the kataifi in the baking dish.
- Top with the remaining kataifi mixture, and bake for about 45 minutes until golden.
- While baking, prepare the syrup by boiling orange juice, water, and sugar for 10 minutes.
- Pour the hot syrup over the kataifi dessert after it’s done baking.
- Let it cool and absorb the syrup before serving.

- Serve chilled for the best flavor.
- Top with crushed nuts for added texture.
