- 2 pounds chicken thighs
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon five-spice powder
- 1 teaspoon red food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, five-spice powder, and red food coloring.
- Add chicken thighs to the marinade and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove chicken from the marinade and grill for 6-8 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can baste the chicken with some reserved marinade while grilling.
