Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- In another bowl, mix warm milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a smooth dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes on a floured surface.
- Cover and let it rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
- Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
- Stretch pieces of dough into thin rounds and gently place them in the hot oil.
- Fry until golden brown, then drain on paper towels.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- For an extra flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon to the dough.
- Serve with jam or honey for dipping.
