- 1 pound kataifi dough
- 2 cups mixed nuts (walnuts, almonds, pistachios)
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix the nuts and cinnamon.
- Take small portions of kataifi dough and spread them out.
- Add a spoonful of the nut mixture and roll the dough tightly.
- Place the rolled kataifi in a greased baking dish.
- Brush melted butter over the kataifi.
- Bake for about 30-40 minutes until golden brown.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, water, and lemon juice to make the syrup. Bring to a boil.
- Once the kataifi is baked, pour the syrup over it while it’s still hot.
- Let it soak for a few hours before serving.
Notes
- Make sure to keep the kataifi dough covered to prevent it from drying out.
- You can use any combination of nuts you prefer.
