  • 1 package phyllo dough
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups chopped almonds
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brush a baking dish with melted butter.
  3. Layer several sheets of phyllo dough, brushing each layer with butter.
  4. Spread the almond mixture evenly over the phyllo.
  5. Roll the phyllo tightly into logs and place in the baking dish.
  6. Cut the rolls into pieces before baking.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. In a saucepan, combine honey, water, and vanilla; bring to a boil.
  9. Pour the syrup over the hot baklava rolls after baking.
  10. Allow to cool before serving.
