- 1 pound potatoes
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Peel and boil the potatoes until soft, then mash them.
- In a pan, sauté the onions and garlic until golden brown.
- Add the sautéed onions, cumin, paprika, and parsley to the mashed potatoes and mix well.
- Let the mixture cool, then shape it into small patties.
- Dip each patty in beaten egg and coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the patties until golden brown on both sides.
- Remove from oil and drain the excess oil on paper towels.
Notes
- These can be served with a dipping sauce of your choice.
- Make sure the oil is hot enough for frying to achieve a crispy texture.
