  • 1 cup mixed dried fruits (such as raisins, apricots, and cranberries)
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Mix in sugar, butter, and eggs.
  3. In another bowl, whisk flour and salt; gradually add to milk mixture.
  4. Knead dough for 10 minutes until smooth.
  5. Incorporate dried fruits, orange zest, and cinnamon.
  6. Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  7. Shape dough into a loaf and place in a greased pan.
  8. Allow to rise again for 30 minutes.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes.
  10. Let cool before serving.
