  • 1 package (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 package (14 ounces) cocktail sausages (mini hot dogs)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  4. Place a small amount of shredded cheddar cheese at the wide end of each triangle.
  5. Place a cocktail sausage on top of the cheese and roll the dough around the sausage, starting from the wide end and rolling toward the point.
  6. Pinch the edges to seal.
  7. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water to create an egg wash.
  8. Brush the tops of the rolled sausages with the egg wash for a golden finish.
  9. Arrange the pigs in a blanket on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each one.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  11. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
  12. Drizzle with Dijon mustard and sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, try using jalapeño or spicy sausage instead of regular cocktail sausages.
  • You can also add a sprinkle of everything bagel seasoning on top before baking for extra flavor.
