Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 package (14 ounces) cocktail sausages (mini hot dogs)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
- Place a small amount of shredded cheddar cheese at the wide end of each triangle.
- Place a cocktail sausage on top of the cheese and roll the dough around the sausage, starting from the wide end and rolling toward the point.
- Pinch the edges to seal.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water to create an egg wash.
- Brush the tops of the rolled sausages with the egg wash for a golden finish.
- Arrange the pigs in a blanket on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each one.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
- Drizzle with Dijon mustard and sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, try using jalapeño or spicy sausage instead of regular cocktail sausages.
- You can also add a sprinkle of everything bagel seasoning on top before baking for extra flavor.
