- 1 cup of dried hibiscus petals
- 1 cup of guava nectar
- 1/4 cup of agave syrup (or to taste)
- 1/4 cup of fresh mint leaves, plus extra for decoration
- Ice cubes
- Lemon wedges (for decoration, optional)
Instructions
- Begin by boiling the water in a medium-sized pot.
- Once it reaches a rolling boil, take it off the heat and add the dried hibiscus petals.
- Allow the mixture to steep for approximately 15 minutes.
- Strain the liquid into a large pitcher, discarding the petals.
- Mix in the guava nectar and agave syrup, stirring until well blended.
- Taste and adjust the sweetness if necessary.
- Toss in the fresh mint leaves and gently press them with a spoon to release their aromatic oils.
- Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
- When ready to serve, pour the tea over ice and adorn with extra mint leaves and lemon wedges.
Notes
- For a bubbly version, substitute half of the water with sparkling water just before serving.
- Try incorporating other fruit juices like mango or pomegranate for a delightful twist.
