- 1 cup dried figs, chopped
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/4 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 cup almond milk
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil, melted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped figs, oats, whole wheat flour, almond flour, honey, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, almond milk, and melted coconut oil.
- Mix until a dough forms, then roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
- Cut the dough into strips and place a small amount of fig filling along one edge of each strip.
- Roll up the strips tightly and place them seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until lightly golden brown.
- Allow to cool before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For a sweeter taste, add more honey or a bit of brown sugar.
- Store in an airtight container for up to one week.
