Ingredients

  • 300 ml whole milk
  • 75 grams butter, melted
  • 200 grams jam of your choice
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
  2. Dissolve the yeast in warm milk and add to the dry ingredients.
  3. Add melted butter and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle.
  7. Spread the jam evenly over the dough.
  8. Roll the dough tightly and shape it into a bun.
  9. Place the bun on a baking tray and let it rise again.
  10. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  11. Brush the top with beaten egg and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  12. Let it cool before slicing and serving.
