Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. This should take about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the vanilla extract and salt to the butter mixture and mix until combined.
- Gradually mix in the flour until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fold in the mini chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk until evenly distributed.
- Spread the cookie dough mixture evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
- Allow the bars to cool in the pan for about 30 minutes, then lift them out using the parchment paper and let them cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For a fun twist, try adding 1/2 cup of chopped nuts.
- Swap out the mini chocolate chips for white chocolate or butterscotch chips.
- Drizzle melted chocolate over the cooled bars for an extra indulgent treat.
