  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. This should take about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and salt to the butter mixture and mix until combined.
  4. Gradually mix in the flour until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Fold in the mini chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk until evenly distributed.
  6. Spread the cookie dough mixture evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
  8. Allow the bars to cool in the pan for about 30 minutes, then lift them out using the parchment paper and let them cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
