- 2 large oranges
- 1 cup pistachios, shelled
- 1 cup almonds, blanched
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 6 large eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a round cake pan.
- In a pot, cover the oranges with water and boil for about 2 hours. Let them cool.
- Blend the cooled oranges until smooth.
- In a food processor, combine pistachios and almonds until finely ground.
- In a bowl, mix the orange puree with sugar, cocoa powder, ground nuts, eggs, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool before serving.

- For a richer flavor, use high-quality cocoa powder.
