- 4 cups milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons rosewater
- 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped pistachios (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, mix the rice flour with 1 cup of milk to create a smooth paste.
- Add the remaining milk and sugar to the saucepan and heat over medium heat.
- Stir constantly until the mixture thickens and begins to boil.
- Reduce the heat and stir in the rosewater, cardamom, and salt.
- Pour the mixture into serving dishes and let it cool.
- Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Garnish with chopped pistachios before serving.
Notes
- For a creamier texture, use whole milk.
- You can adjust the sweetness according to your preference.
- Fereni can be served warm or cold.
