- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 package phyllo dough
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef with chopped onions and minced garlic until browned.
- Add cumin, cinnamon, paprika, salt, and pepper; stir to combine.
- Pour in beef broth and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Lay several sheets of phyllo dough in a greased baking dish, brushing each layer with melted butter.
- Spoon the beef mixture over the phyllo layers.
- Cover with more phyllo sheets, brushing with butter between layers.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden brown.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add choped parsley and mint to the beef mixture.
- Serve with a side of yogurt or salad.
