  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in the granulated and brown sugars until well combined.
  3. Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet mixture.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add a pinch of sea salt on top before baking.
  • These brownies can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
