Delicious homemade deep-dish pizza with a flaky crust and plenty of cheese and toppings.

Ingredients

  • 1 package pizza dough
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 1 pepperoni, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onions and peppers until tender.
  3. Add sausage to the skillet and cook until no longer pink.
  4. Roll out the pizza dough and press it into a deep-dish pizza pan.
  5. Layer ricotta cheese on the bottom, followed by mozzarella cheese.
  6. Spread the sausage mixture over the cheese.
  7. Add pepperoni slices on top.
  8. Pour pizza sauce evenly over the toppings.
  9. Sprinkle Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes on top.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the crust is golden brown.
  11. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

  • Best served fresh, but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
