- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup fresh cherries, pitted and chopped
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it just begins to simmer.
- Remove from heat and add the dark chocolate chips, stirring until smooth.
- Add the chopped cherries, sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt to the chocolate mixture and mix well.
- Pour the mixture into a lined baking dish and refrigerate until set.
- Once set, cut into bars and serve chilled.
Notes
- For a different flavor, try adding a splash of almond extract.
- These bars can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week.
