Ingredients

  • 2 large onions
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the onions into thin rings.
  2. Dip the onion rings in buttermilk, then coat with flour.
  3. Dip again in egg, followed by a mixture of breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, and salt.
  4. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Fry the onion rings in batches until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
