Deliciously flaky phyllo pastry filled with a sweet and nutty cranberry pecan mixture, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 package phyllo dough
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix cranberries, pecans, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Lay out phyllo sheets and brush each sheet with melted butter.
  4. Place a portion of the cranberry mixture at one end of the phyllo and roll it up into a spiral.
  5. Brush the top with egg wash and place on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Let cool before serving.

Notes

  • For a vegan version, substitute butter with coconut oil and omit the egg wash.
  • These can be made ahead and frozen before baking.
