- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 large egg yolk
- 1 tsp almond extract
- 1 cup cranberry sauce
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine all-purpose flour, almond flour, powdered sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- Mix in the softened butter until crumbly.
- Add the egg yolk and almond extract, mixing until a dough forms.
- Press the dough into a tart pan, covering the bottom and up the sides.
- Spread the cranberry sauce evenly over the crust.
- Optionally sprinkle chopped walnuts over the cranberry sauce.
- Roll out remaining dough, cut into strips, and place over the filling in a lattice pattern.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
- This dessert can be made a day in advance for better flavor.
- Serve with whipped cream for extra indulgence.
