- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup brewed coffee, cooled
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon coffee extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the softened butter, egg, brewed coffee, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
- In another bowl, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, coffee extract, and cinnamon until smooth.
- Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture onto the batter and swirl with a knife.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
- This cake pairs well with a glass of milk or a cup of coffee.
- Feel free to add chocolate chips for an extra treat!
