  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (for brownies)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for brownies)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (for brownies)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (for brownies)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix together shredded coconut, sugar, flour, and salt.
  3. Stir in sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, melt the butter and mix with sugar until creamy.
  5. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  6. Add flour and salt, mixing until just combined.
  7. Spread the brownie batter into the prepared pan and layer the coconut mixture on top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let cool before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate cocoa powder.
