- 1 loaf white bread
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
- 2 cucumbers, thinly sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, dill, salt, pepper, and lemon juice until smooth.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over one side of each slice of bread.
- Layer the cucumber slices on top of the cream cheese on half of the bread slices.
- Top with the other half of the bread slices, cream cheese side down, and press gently.
- Trim the crusts off the sandwiches and cut into quarters or triangles.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
Notes
- For a tasty variation, add thinly sliced radishes or smoked salmon.
- Keep the sandwiches covered to prevent them from drying out.
